Couple families in our community moved back. 5 families and 3 bachelors in my circle did the same. They are all very happy with the move.

We will move back as well in couple years.

Bro but your Trump doesn't like India. He likes Pakistan

Those kingly says are eppudo over ippudu nanny cheyyalante 30k per month adugutunnaru city lo

30k is not very big deal TBH if you have husband and wife making over 1 lakh per month in net salary and own a house on their own. If the family makes another 1 lakh through passive income, life is good as it gets.

If each make 50 lakhs and over, then that's even easy.  US comes with an  alarm clock. By the time you hit 45, unless you're handling budgets, or have a lot of dependency or in decision making roles (even they will be let go at times), you're pretty much replaceable cog. With the way how things are Boomers retirement comes from Millennials slogging, not sure if millennials will have a retirement, running this wheel will only make it feel like grinding forever.

That applies to denaturalising citizens. GC is much much better than h1, that’s why people thinking to go back. Incase if someone gets GC in one or two years why they will leave? GC is peace if mind unless you want to do something stupid.

"Peace of mind" is always internal. GC won't change much, except for the status part. Boomers are last generation that appear tohave comfortable retirement, it's going to be 10x harder for millennials to retire the way the boomers did. For 9-5 people life is only one step away from bankruptcy in US.

H1B or GC 9-5 settlement days are gone. > 45 unless a lot of dependency exists or you're in a decision making roles (even then you are replaceable but you will have some leverage), you're a replaceable cog.

I am thinking of retiring soon. Still have ~20 years for social security benefits to kick in. Thinking of transferring Roth IRA and figuring out the math to retire. I feel more comfortable in the US than in India kani 60+ ki em avtundo evariki eruka

That is not same..even people with 90 lakhs of income are not at all happy with infrastructure. Traffic is mental now. Impossible ..basic facilities levu..still water problem and pothole..

Once it rains everything is stand still.

Horrible schools and universities..kids ki asalu safe kaadu india in present situation. Everything got expensive ..fake branding ..no quality control..regulations

Those are third world problems. It's a given. I think it's how one weighs things.

My criteria to go back to India:

Have 100 cr assests with me.

(life is very competative and comparitive, you and your family will get respect only if you have this much money in India)

Have politicians, SP or CI as close relative.

( Every Govt. department is corrupt, you need much corrupt guy on your side to handle any such hurdles)

Get to know rich community ppl.

Even if you have money, you need to have such rich community…so kids will feel included and accepted and get the best.

coz only Elite groups have fun in India….like in US.

Hahaha…endhuku sir anninsumo lu annattu

100 cr sampadhinchatam anedhi to live with rich community naaa……alaaa ithe kids pubs ki dharedhi ani veltharru perigekodhi

with whatever “good amount” tho above middle class la bathikithe dhaniki minchina happy life rich community lo vundadhu..poor community lo vundadhu….

take out that rich, rich people, rich community…then life will be smooth

Reason?

Did they have enough passive income to sustain without having to work?
