There is an incoming recession due to some factors.

First is companies overextending during Covid and now they have to lay off that load.

Second is A.I bubble where executives are trying to increase efficiency using A.I and cutting down workforce ,it might or might not give them the results if it doesn't then we will see more hiring soon.

They need a scapegoat for all this which is immigration.

I think there is something wrong much deeper and they are not able to fix it. Economy, trade, war, jobs or inflation. Something is very bad and they are tweeting like this

Why have a scapegoat and not act? They can go hard on immigration and stop it once and for all. Why do the drama online?
