He is a 3rd gen kid of mixed Indian descent..

Even 100% Indian origin kids don’t consider themselves Indian.. they consider themselves American, which is correct.. they treat new comers from India as foreigners.. even 2nd gen Chinese or Mexicans don’t treat new entries from their home countries equally.. 

Heck, even Nikki Haley tried hard to erase her Indian identity a lot by changing her name  to Nikki, took her husbands last name, bleached her face to look as white as possible, etc.. Vivek also wears makeup to look as white as he can..

Nothing wrong.. our kids who are born here do not have even 10-20% of the attachment we have with our country.. their experience is different.. they think American.. when we take them to India, they treat it just like a vacation to any other place outside US.. Nalin is a third gen half Indian kid.. we can’t expect him to be sympathetic to Indians.. 

Heck, even we are not sympathetic towards fellow Indians.. Maname mana vallani chala thakkuva ga chustaamu..
