i have around 4 years of java developer experience and my manager is planning to throw me into this project where i have to learn from scratch and work.

As a technology it’s very good. We evaluated this along with other middleware’s and finally settled with informatica due to cost. 
Both are bought by salesforce. No one knows their plans YET for which one they will carry, or merge, or create a new product altogether. 
Texhnology does not matter these days, rather concepts matter a lot.

BTW mulesoft talks a lot about building AI agents with its tool, AI enablement, it’s all BS. It’s a good integration tool, that’s all
