Question about “Desi” term used here

I see lot of id’s in this db using terms “desi santa”, “desi scrap” and judging all Indians but still post in telugu. Are they just defaming them selves, are white descendants speaking telugu or they feel they are some kind of premium/Elite desis and feel superior to others?

desis mean who goes to gym with sandals
