chirag and his party has limitations entire dalit votes are not behind them its only paswan vote which is 4-5% remaining dalits are actually somewhat anti paswan and stand firmly with nitish. 

his 4-5 % base is major swing factor but by himself he cant do anything that showed up in 2020 elections

post nitish it would be interesting to see where his base voters go

With his minimal vote share, he can’t do anything on his own and his party too.  BJP still does not have a formidable face in Bihar. Chirag paswan, has been sailing with BJP to stay live and pretty much has been building his base and kind fo successful. If he can merge his LJP with BJP and take up a crucial role and limit himself to Bihar, they can position ahead of JDU and RJD. Nitesh won’t be around for an or two…
