I would say read both religious text ? and  see which religious texts it appears first and compare with archaeological evidence and linguistic analysis then see which religion has the oldest evidence. that would give you proper idea.

It's not scary when you get to know about divine feminine energy.

Chinnamastha devi is one of divine devi energy and part of dasa maha vidya. Tantra has more info about this devi form. If you're attracted to this devi for any reason, please do not chant her bija mantra. Tere is concept called ugra devta and sowmya devta, chinnamasta devi is ugra devta.

So plese refrain from doing any kind of puja/upasana of her with out a guru help.
