Knives out for Telugu man Krishna Allavaru

Who is Krishna Allavaru? He is the trusted lieutenant of Rahul Gandhi who was the in-charge for the Bihar Assembly elections.

The Congress managed to win only 6 out of the 61 seats it contested and the blame is being laid solely on Krishna who was apparently given a free rein by Rahul Gandhi.

Not much is known about this Telugu man who keeps a very low profile and had worked for top consultants like KPMG. He joined the Congress in 2010 after quitting the corporate world.

While he is currently listed as Joint Secretary in the Congress, this is the first time that Krishna was given the responsibility for a State election.

He is also said to be the brains behind Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Chori’ yatra.

Under Krishna, the Congress refused to compromise with the Lal Yadav family on seat-sharing, the first time that this has ever happened.

Known to be an extremely hard-working and committed man, Krishna was appointed Bihar in-charge in February.

“He had absolutely no knowledge of Bihar? How can he understand such a complex State like Bihar in six months? He has never contested an election in his life and appointed candidates totally unsuitable for their constituencies,” said a Congress MP from Bihar.

Will Rahul Gandhi still stick with Krishna or will the latter be made responsible for the Bihar debacle? Only time will tell!
