GE entire IT operations are outsourced to India. atleast 10000 people will be working from India for GE.

we are using GE F404 engines for Tejas MK1A and Mark 2

problem is GE is not supplying on time

India is also running a risk that GE will shutdown supply chain for F404 Engines soon as it was originally developed for F-18 hornets

AMCA ki we will get GE 414 Engines which are still being for F-18 super hornets.

India is pushing for TOT and manufacture in India which GE is not doing even for the outdated old F404.

Unless India can crack Kaveri engine or make safran ( french Engine maker) to agree on a similar engine with TOT and local manufacturing we will go no where.

 

GE & Safran has a combined entity called CFM which manufactures engines for commercial and passenger aviation.
