I have a system around me to deal with things like this. Trusted family who are also NRIs. I only buy through known people. Gated communities. Check papers with a known lawyer. Take loan from a bank even if you can afford to buy all cash. They will validate the property better than anyone else

Inherited properties are good, but you have to make sure you know the inheritance tree. Make sure to get the documents signed by all adults like sisters/brothers/their kids...let them know you are buying .. Once you buy, take an electricity connection on your name and put a shed with water pump, etc ...

Even if there are issues, possession/utilities comes into the picture. Give a paper advertisement before buying ... safe from all sides.

Oka sari aa venture chuste cheap antav… very good amenities, greenery. Gated, 2 cricket stadiums with flood lights, other sports courts, etc. maintenance is rs. 3.5 per sq ft for a built home or per sq yard if an empty plot.

3500 sq ft villa unte 12K maitenance key kattaliga...idk if its reasonable in todays market. Never lived in hyd, I know we used to pay 1500 maintenance in standalone apartments.

@Konebhar6 what do you suggest for someone who is thinking about moving back to Hyd in 5-7 years timeline....should they buy a villa now, rent it and live in it when they go back or focus on investing here and think baout buying when they are close to packing....villas price are going up YOY and what may seem 4-5cr might go up to 8-10cr la undhi scneario..
