Just my opinion anna, If you have Green Card and are on track for citizenship and kids are in middle school here then no point taking villa. Settle kids here and then for retirement if you want to go to India, take an apartment where you have friends relatives. 

All this assuming you dont have a life situation where you need to go back for parents right now. Then yeah look for villa in hyd. 

Dont take from investment point for view for retirement. Areas mari potayi, and bldgs get old. Appudu konnukotam better.

- India is corrupt and you should not invest in India. Invest where you live. Judged your street smartness from this post.

Hyderabad lo go with reputed builders. If villas (obviously non-reputed), go for smaller developments.)

- Andaru antunnattu location is not a problem as per me. Neeku pakkana nunde oka radial road veltundi. New capital to inside via Raviryal. Srisailam highway conversion land acquisition problems ani chupinchi, ee road ni "one of the option" laga State govt project chestundi.

- However, safety is an issue. Aa area lo leni dongalu leru. Kongara Kalan Collectorate office vundi. Akkade street lights vundavu. Aa cheekatlo sanna wires bike level lo katti, govt officials ne target chestu dongatanaalu chestunnaru. Aa side BTR vaipu, dongala gangs ekkuva vunnayi.

- inka chala reasons vunnayi. Aa area antha gajji kukkala hawa. I don't think the developer will complete it. Repo maapo, Radha Realty kannestadi, leda veedu kattakunda, vaadiki lancham ichi koorchuntadu.

School wise problem ledu. Manchester School vundi taggaralone. 

If you are looking in that area, BTR or Greenrich lo land konesko. Ikkada kuda gajji kukkalu ekkuva anuko, but atleast educated ones vunnaru. Construction nuvve tippalu padi pattinchuko. Land is secured in these two layouts. Cc @Konebhar6 shark

Yup.. I agree.. I was on fence.. but oaktae issue manam vellae time ki afford cheyagalama ani..!
