I have clarity on what I want to do 5-10 years down the lane. Whether I stick to it or not is a different question. So I have to plan for both. Once I am self-sustained (no dependency on a job, which I am very close), I want to travel frequently to India. I need a place to stay (Parents' place getting old and they don't want to move or make any changes to the home, which makes sense according to them). So a fully furnished Studio apartment in financial city made sense. IT came at a good price, and I also have extended family nearby. I want a villa for my future needs in case I go back. 300-500 Sq.Yards in a good place where I can see myself and my family. Either a villa or a Plot in a gated community. I do not want to fund these with money from the US. It makes sense for me to consolidate properties and fund these and buy a single piece of land with the rest. Quote
