They had headstart but google will catchup very quick due to the immense amount of resources and data.immense amount of debt means other companies will hesitate to acquire them.

Scaling time is done and headstarts won't matter that much ,other companies will catchup as llms will stagnate for a while.

Some scientists like yann lecun are trying to go on a different path to llms ,i am assuming that's why he joined meta as meta is behind other companies in gen A.I and he probably thought he could convince them to go past llms.

It's very difficult to beat google on the grind , only other companies in MAGMA can put up a fight and chinese companies due to low hardware costs , they should have been completely acquired by someone.

Tbf the concept of transformers used in llms were released by Google engineers but weren't taking the risk .they took a very safe strategy.

They will have specific models for tasks in the future.

The main issue now is...does people can afford to invest in these things ?? There is a huge issue with population wrt living conditions....many voting groups around the world are feeling heat...many investments will disappear if there is a voting out of people supporting it...

Maybe in western European countries ,lobbying groups are too powerful in other countries.

Open AI has the backing of Microsoft.. they are going to be fine.. current gen kids ki Google kante ChatGPT baga telusu.. every kid is using chat gpt..

Copilot is integrated into all Microsoft products and many other external products too..
