Microsoft won't be willing to pay the immense debt they racked up.

Gemini has better researchers/PHds and a better overall model. ChatGPT itself is a product of a paper produced at Google. No wonder Google is moving ahead with their quantum research parallelly leaving others behind. Yes, ChatGPT is famous now but only until people start adopting the better product. It is giving internet explorer vs Google chrome vibes all over again.

User subscriptions are very less to breakeven ,it's even difficult to get more users now as other companies are cutting through userbase.

Open A.I provides their models to Microsoft and Microsoft provides their cloud infrastructure.

I think Satya Nadella openly said in an interview that they will take open A.I IP if they go down.so they might have some clause in that contract.
