Why don't indians contribute that much is because they don't have any concept of nation.

Top engineers look at rest of India outside of corporate world like a slum and want to get out of here or exploit the slum ,get rich and get out of here.

Iits are made for research so they can contribute to india ,but these people are getting the iit tag creating lala food delivery and coffee delivery startups (that too not even original ideas) and taking vc money ,running those startups to the ground with losses that can't be recouped ,exiting with millions and getting out of this slum country.

Ironically the most profitable startup of this decade is by a graduate from low tier university and a 10 th drop out.
