One of the reasons why we were easily ruled by European communities is coz they took advantage of our insecurities. 
We have to get rid of these insecurities and give more importance to a person - personality, traits and give respect. It will take some generations. 
I teach this to my kids. It’s the personality that gets the respect. I highlight unique things in them and ask them to never lose it. I ask them to improve on stuff not good. 
One of my kid is a very happy person since childhood. Everyone used to say. Never cries, always happy with whatever she has or gets. Learnt so much from her.

Thousands and thousands of Zameendhars, Patels, Thakurs, Rajputs, Chowdharys - all have their own Dominions.

India should thank British for creating Union of India which has now become the biggest Democracy of the world.

A person like M Modi born into a BC caste could never become PM in the old caste hierachy based Hindu system.

We were a much richer country before they came. Why do we need technology when we were thriving. They came to loot us. 
Look at the history of UK. All the problems you mentioned in India before they came were there in all European societies.
