Friend married last year and was struck with visa issues. He came to USA and filed for divorce.

Wife filed for mainteance in family court with a false statements and court ordered him to pay 1 lakh per month.  What are his options ? pay cheyakapothe.

1 lakh maintenance in india na..ante almost 900$ per month..if no kids and if she gets married to someone else..then he can stop..manchi lawyer kavali

she is having a job and judge ordered 1 lakh per month. Why she will marry in 2 years lo she can make 20 lakhs only in maintenance. Final settlement ki emi adugutundo

There are many NRI cases who didn't pay maintenance in USA. don't know how they escaped paying high maintenance

don't have money to pay. Friend only get 3500$ after taxes.

no plans to travel to india for next 2 -3 years . He is ok to go to jail after going to india and not interested to give money to wife

Can he get into any problems in USA for not paying the maintenance amount ? He don't have rents or assets in India . 3 years back 1 acre land unde transfered to parents before filing divorce.

contempt of court charges criminal anukunta. Also, not sure what would happen if he stops paying. Lawyer ne consult avvandi. Manchi lawyer ni pattukondi. Keerthana ane lawyer bagane chestundi ani vinnanu. There are many more as well.

contempt of court charges are criminal. One lawyer said if you are not an Indian employee or working in India court can't take any action and they may catch you if you come to India and keep you in jail.
