Gumpu doesn't have absolute power ,namesake cm.

There are many groups in congress ,unless majority of them accept what he does ,he can't do anything

Revanth reddy has pragmatically strengthened his role in the Congress party . Somehow , he has successfully sidelined other important leaders like Uttam , Venkat reddy etc . He is also the first Motati Reddy cm after Kasu Brahmananda Reddy . The other subcastes like Gudati ( Chenna Reddy ) , Kodithi ( ysr , jagan ) and pakanati ( Kiran reddy ) had dominated for almost 5 decades .
