It doesn't have to be same as developed countries.

There are other benefits of moving to India. Don't want to get into all that.

As far as I am concerned, India is far more developed than US if you keep the AQI aside....especially healthcare and support system which are most important after 40.

India is a good place to retire but not in tier -1 cities.

Agree.  If someone's origin is not in Tier 1, its better to retire in Tier 2.

I am born in Hyd though. Don't have that luxury.
