Na, no EU car will sell for less than 25-30 k...ante 25-30 lakhs minimum ....Indians buy cars valued less than 15 lakhs and most percent less than 10 lakhs...

AA market and AA vehicles can't be produced in EU. They have to keep manufacturing in India and produce with Indian labour to sell at cheaper rates European brands...25 lakh paina cars ke tariffs reduced to 40 percent now and will eventually reduce to 10 percent....AA cars 1-3 percent ye....

25lakh car price lo tarrif price thesethe they come much cheaper. They become even cheaper once economy of scale kicks in.

Basically no advantage for India, its deal of life time for EU. As usual godi bended.

You are partially right. In fact thats the idea. Modi Gov will not allow EU cars which are lesser in value than certain 25 Lakhs so TATA and Mahindra are safe, at least for now.

.

.

but the big problem agead is: that brustling, aspiring & inspiring middle class has so much income -- they wont hesitate to spend 5-10 lakhs additionally when they want to buy a Audi or Benz or some crazy EU name ........ and get rid of Mahendra or TATA Indian logos.

Thats the Brand obsessed people - who are around at least 20% in my opinion.

There is no loss for Indian car industry with this deal....they have to come to India and produce for their cars to be cheap...inka India ki help as some production would be shifted to India to make price competitive....

Matter of time. Pretty soon they along with chinese brands will explode killing auto sector unless they manufacture in India. If they have plans to manufacture in India then this deal will have no use.

There lies the answer....say cars for example....the best car for Indian rugged terrain is Mercedes G wagan....it can go at 70-80 degree terrain too...mahindra ki babu adi

there's no car matching it's performance anywhere in world....but price is expensive.... starting base model price is 150k which is 1.5 cr...average car is 2-3 c...now say due to import restrictions how many can you find in india ?? After reducing to 10 percent duty 500-10000 would be sold as per expectations per year...that would be enough to offset US tariff market...same with Audi, BMW, Porsche etc...all those cars start at 1-2 c ...all those are niche market catering top 1-2 percentile....which means almost 10 - 20 million customers which is a big market for those companies....but India has 1.5 billion people ...and as Indian economy grow that market grows too...So, Indian market can help them in long run...

Same with olive oil etc...who used olive oil ? Higher middle class and rich...because liter Costs 3-4000 rupees ...but it helps offset dependency....

Same with wine boom boom, president medal badulu manchi imported beer, wine is good for Mandi babulu....

Same with defence....India depending on Russian weapons...you are how they are performing in Ukraine lol ...even Russian defence top end equipment has European parts...which were sanctioned and Russia was unable to source it...India can get those weapons directly from Netherlands, Germany, Sweden etc...just with Germany the defence contract was 8 billion $$...

Next is generic ki European market will open up and Indian pharma will benefit....same with textiles...now almost all textiles in Primark, Zara etc are from Bangladesh....with this made india would come...same with jewellery etc, now they are mostly from US, China etc...now it will be from India...

It's called that because it opens India's niche market which is top 1-2 percentile who can afford luxury goods to European luxury goods....and opening European low end mass market like textiles, generic pharma, etc to India...till now that place is occupied by China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, maynanmar etc...

Luxury cars bane tirugutunai anna, khammam lone i see benz, audi, bmw. Now in 5 years theyll be much cheaper and reachable. Not saying they will fill the roads but will make decent numbers. Mana population ki 2% reach ayina lot of numbers

FYI, India supplies spares to majority of the European car makers.

Eg: Hyundai Europe sources all of its spare parts from Chennai. Same with Suzuki and VW.

If Europe wants to sell a car in India, two options. Either import car fully which gets more expensive or import CKD kits and assemble in India and CKD attracts lower tariffs.

I see Euro deal as a win win situation dor both as most of the Euroepan car makers already have assembly plants who already import CKD kits and assemble in India, Esp high end cars.

With lower tariffif’s, Local assembly becomes more attractive and seamfree than importing a car as a whole.
