What formula you’re using? 
my question is - if you can afford to allocate 2000 monthly, would you buy 2000 worth every month no matter what the cost is? Or will you keep some percentage as cash for any potential dips?

Every month on 3rd, automatically an x amount of money gets transfered to fidelity TOD account and system places the order for opening market price of the day of that ETF.
