I live in texas, so snow is never a problem. between RAM and Ford ( I liked RAM for the sturdiness and Ford for the comfort options). But yeah, what you told makes sense about having more electronics involved. My first choice Tundra Then F150 & then Ram..... Quote
simha2727 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Recent Ram engines are not good. Do some research. Quote

Chala technology unna fully loaded - CPO truck better aa? or should I go with a basic work-truck brand new? I know features requirement depends on a lot of factors, but the most features I would need is 360 degree camera, side camera while making turns to not hit curbs etc. phone nundi start option to pre-condition the truck on hot or cold days. 3. Hybrid ki money pettadam antha worth aa? is it worth the gas savings? WFH job, so mostly timepass ki tiragadam, kids schools, activities etc, just like a regular car usage. antha daniki truck endhuku ani 10gakandi.. ekkado purugu tiruguthundi after seeing a lot of people driving trucks here in TX. Lease don’t buy try evs like ford or chevy cheap and you can exit lease in 2 years if you want to go back to car Quote

The engine will last at least 1 million miles. Diesel are better especially when emissions regulations are relaxed and temperatures don't dip too low. Texas is one such place. Try looking for 2010-2018 model of Cummins 2500 crew cabs, you will get sweet deals in this economy. Below 200,000 miles and 25K, is a sweet spot. Cummins is built to last forever and in Texas you can "delete" easily and not sweat about it. The diesel mileage is always superior. Ram 1500 Eco diesel is also a very good option, if you want a smaller truck. You can delete it too. The thing with diesels is the internal components are built to last high pressure environment which is why they last really long. Only part is you should wait for the engine to warm up, i.e , idle it for at least 4-5 minutes when it's cold. I'm not that lucky I love the wretched state of NY. Diesel engine konatam worth aa bro? because I don't drive as much.. hardly 10k miles a year Quote

By design diesel engines need be very robust as they operate in high pressure conditions and run at "lower RPM". The fuel itself (Diesel) is energy dense, so basic ga better mileage. Newer diesels are ruined by EPA regulations by adding stupid EGR, DEF etc which choke the engine block from breathing. Pre 2006 engine (pre emissions) ee emissions crap lenapudu vi still perform far better. Andhuke low enforcement unna states like in Texas they "delete" this emissions garbage so the trucks works better. If you plan to live in Texas, my suggestion is look for a used diesel either pre emissions or "deleted" and prefer 10 -15 year old ones. Nee insurance kooda cheap padhthadhi. You will get a lot of good deals plus you don't need to worry about "longevity". Basic maintenance is enough. Inkokati once you're used to diesel torque, you don't like gasoline engines. Quote
