I've used compilers with 2 byte ints long ago.  Then for about a decade they were 4 bytes.  Now, some of them are 8 bytes (because we're moving to 64 bit registers).

@gr33d @gr33d depends on word size and compiler..c specification mentions about the minimum range that a data type should accommodate..i did not intend to say int=4 and long long = 8
