katharnak Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 BANGALORE: America's largest-selling designer shirt brands, Geoffrey Beene, is considering to partner Megamart, the discount apparel chain of Arvind Ltd.Megamart is the Rs 400-crore retail subsidiary of textile firm Arvind Ltd. India has around 200 Megamart outlets and is widely known as the maker of brands like Arrow, US Polo and Energie lifestyle.Mr J Suresh, MD and CEO of Arvind Lifestyle Brands Retail, said, “We wanted to bring in a new set of customers who are keen on aspirational brands. At the same time, it will help us increase loyalty within the existing set to capture downtrading customers in an inflationary environment.”Geoffrey Beene, an American fashion designer will bring its international menswear formals portfolio for Megamart.
