zoro979 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Allu Aravind hijacks Chiru party Sunday, March 15, 2009 Hyderabad, March 15 (TNN): The shadow of Allu Aravind is growing larger and larger over all important activities and decisions of the Praja Rajyam. This is leading to a widespread impression that Chiranjeevi is just a figurehead, as Aravind is enjoying full freedom even in selection of candidates for elections. Though top leaders are involved in regional election committees for selection, it is Allu Aravind who is stated to be finalising contesting candidates ultimately. This is causing concern among many enthusiasts who are putting trust in Chiru leadership. Aravind has acquired a dubious distinction of putting financial resources above the idealogies of Chiranjeevi. There are allegations that Aravind is directly asking ticket applicants about their readiness to donate funds for the party and their ability to spend in elections. A police officer, who has put voluntary retirement and joined Praja Rajyam, said that this financial craving would not lead party to success. He said that Badwel in Kadapa district has good chances for Praja Rayam, but leadership chose someone who donated Rs. 40 lakh. He further said that this new candidate would not win the elections, as he is not known to anybody there
