C++ (Windows)/Java Developer

[b]Notes from client:[/b]
Must have server side exp - understanding of multi-threading, multiprocessing, disk I/O, etc. . . . Server side is all WINDOWS -- windows shop.
Make sure they are not too senior and they are not heavy client server side -- internal windows servers is what they will be working on.
C++ Vs. Java: It really depends on the task.  If you look at the entire code base with which the candidate is expected to work it is probably 80% Java and 20% C++. That being said there will be tasks that are 100% C++ (depending on the third-party provided API).
