naidubava Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Mysore: A 23-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into a well here on hearing of sudden death of Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan on Wednesday, the police said. His friend who tried to rescue him also met with the same fate in Kuppa village in Mysore district, police said. The deceased were identified as Somanna and Kunnaiah (28). According to the police, Somanna was in an inebriated state when he took the extreme step. Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan died of cardiac arrest here in the wee hours on Wednesday. He was 59. The actor developed breathing problems at about 2.30 am on Wednesday and he was immediately taken to a private hospital where he breathed his last. According to hospital sources, he died at around 3 am. His actress wife Bharathi and son-in-law Anirudh were by his side when the Kannada star died. Business establishments in many parts of the city were closed as a mark of respect to the late actor.
