Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday reminded TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao that he is keeping the company of a party that he till recently used to call the 'Telangana Drohula Party (TDP) and the Left parties ‘thoka (tail) parties’.Addressing a public meeting in Armoor on Wednesday, the chief minister asked KCR how he had come to join hands with ‘drohulu’ and remarked that the Mahakutami was nothing but a ‘swarthakutami.’  He said the four parties continue to hold contradictory views on the Telangana issue and wondered how Telangana statehood could be achieved with such diverse ideological positions. He described the grand alliance as a fraud and said disgruntled leaders who abused one another in the past have come together to deceive the electorate. He said Naidu and KCR had called names. “KCR called Naidu a big thief and Left leaders as small thieves,” he said. Further, he said Left leaders B V Raghavulu and K Narayana had called Naidu a thief and a jeetagadu of the World Bank. “But now all of them have formed an alliance to cheat the people,” he said. He charged that the leaders’ only aim was to grab power and opined that these leaders have lost credibility among the people.

Training his guns on PRP president Chiranjeevi, Rajasekhara Reddy said he was an actor who earned crores but had done nothing for his native place Mogalturu for the last 30 years. He said only the Congress government would be able to provide a stable and clean administration and cited as examples the welfare and developmental programmes his government had launched in the last four-and-a-half years.

Asserting that the Congress would return to power, the chief minister said the next government would concentrate on implementing Arogyasri, Rs 2 a kilo rice scheme and Indiramma housing programme with vigour.
