JOB TITLE : SYSTEM ADMINSTRATOR WITH LINUX/UNIX EXPERIENCE

LOCATION : RALEIGH,NC

DURATION : 6 MONTHS CONTRACT

BACKFILL POSITION

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• 3 -5 years LINUX/UNIX experience (Solaris/RHEL preferred)
• 3 -5 years Sun and Windows platform experience
• 3 -5 years Scripting (bash/ksh/perl)
• 3 -5 years experience with storage management including RAID configurations
• Exposure to Network administration


JOB DESCRIPTION:
[indent=1.05]· Need for a strong system administrator with LINUX/UNIX experience on our North Carolina (Raleigh) eProcurement engagement. This person would serve as an Ariba system administrator (Ariba is the COTS package that we support), using both Linux and Unix[/indent]
• Application configuration, perform code migrations, troubleshooting, and application installations in the development, QA, and Production environments
• Responsible for administering the LINUX(RHEL)/UNIX environments on which the applications live, including building and configuring new servers
• Provide local support for the Windows/ VM Ware environments including the desktop environment
• Provide support for the monitoring system utilizing HP Sitescope, Wily Intrascope, and Oracle Grid Controller
• Provide secondary support for performance testing using HP Load Runner suite of tools

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Application administration (restarts, disk space management, etc) for project applications
Provide support for code pushes to all application environments
• Application installs as needed
• Provide LINUX(RHEL)/UNIX support as needed. This includes all development, QA, and Production servers both on the project site and the hosting facility.
• Maintains server documentation including peer review documents and server build checklists for both projects
• Provide support for the Windows / VM Ware environment on the project site. This includes the local desktop environment.
• As project needs and priorities are shifted, the above responsibilities may be adjusted or expanded to meet client service and contract compliance needs.
• Participate in an on-call schedule to support project SLA’s

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• COTS or Ariba experience
• Oracle DB Administration experience
• VM Ware administration
• Strong business acumen
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
