Vinayak, Music: Devi Sri Prasad.RATING: DIRECTOR VINAYAK takes the age-old formula of twins separating at birth and churns out the year's first action packed story for the masses, with Junior NTR playing a dual role -- a double dhamaka for the hero's fans who can't ask for more. Twins get separated at the hospital. While one becomes Narsimha, a self-styled vigilante and don, the other goes on to become Pandit Narsimha Chary having got stolen by a Brahmin family who had lost their new born.The setting is perfect: Narsimha takes the movie along with the Matrix-like fights and dances, while Chary and his guru Brahmanandam make you laugh no end.Assisting Narsimha in his endeavour of wiping out extortionists and knocking off their booty is a DGP (Sayaji Shinde) whose lovely daughter Sheela he courts. That the DGP turns a villain is another twist in the tale. For Chary, the director has the beautiful Nayantara. Unbeknownst to the twins, their father, a scientist (Nasser), is not dead as the audience is made to believe. He has been kidnapped by an underworld don Baba (Mahesh Manjrekar) for making the ultimate weapon for a group of countries -- an invisible gun that can fire invisible ammunition at its target.The scientist does not cooperate and the villains decide to get his son Narsimha to blackmail him. Baba lets loose the villainous Ashish Vidyarthi.But after a whole lot of smashing up, the villains realise they are playing with fire. Chary joins the party, of course after a spell of rip-roarious comedy, and there is no stopping the family getting together again.Story-wise Adhurs has nothing new to offer. Junior NTR steals the thunder with his dual role. He essays the role of the pandit with awesome ease, and this comes has a whiff of fresh air. As a fighter we have seen him several times before.Joining the comedy bandwagon are M.S. Narayana and Raghu Babu with Brahmanandam in the lead. For once, none feels the absence of Sunil and Venu Madhav.With Raju Sundaram providing the choreography for Devi Sri Prasad's music, the dance and song sequences go off well. The credit should go to Gautham Raju for his snappy if not snippy edition. After Adi and Samba, the deadly combination of Vinayak and Junior NTR has certainly scored a hat-trick with Adhurs.--Courtesy-DC
