Kanaka Reddy, contesting for the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency on behalf of Praja Rajyam.At a press conference here, Parishath’s general secretary G. Vishwanatha Sastry said that their decision would be binding on the Brahmin voters that are the members of the Parishath. “We had voted for the Congress and the TDP for so long, reaping nothing. PR gave tickets to three Brahmin candidates, which none of these parties did. Hence, we all decided to support Mr. Reddy’s candidature,” Mr. Sastry said. Members of the association will take out a scooter rally on April 12 in support of the candidate, he said.
