Everything else has been simply re-created from Sharma's old tracks. Not his best old tracks, but simply his old rusty ones. Well, what can one say...except that Okka Mogadu had music that at least created some hope and hype for the movie. Conversely, this movie might be bearable even if the songs don't rock. Some wish. Tellavarithe Yevarikevaru: Lot of the youn' guns team up to sing the opening song namely Rahul Nambiar, Hemachandra and Bhargavi. Vennelakanti writes inspiring 'move forward' lyrics. This kind of song is now a regular feature in Balayya movies these days, and it's even got a 'Balakrishna...' chorus that is half in Telugu and continues later in English; it's tangy but too much of keyboard playing by Sharma spoils the effect somewhat. The song mellows down midway and from peppy it becomes completely situational with 'Lets party' lyrics that contradict it. Oh well, nice enough but please go easy on that keyboard Mister S. NBK & PriyamaniBy Birth Ee: This song has obviously been inspired by 'Roja le' from Gharshana. One of those perky solos that people like to see their female leads in. Shreya Ghosal's vocals pep up the number infinitely and Ananthasriram's improbably candyfloss lyrics basically voice a girl courting a guy. Don't Touch Me: Since we are heavy on keyboard and techno anyways, there seems no reason to mellow it. So this song has an overdose of it; it's a sensual club song. Ranjith and Chitra (doesn't sound like the one we are familiar with) sing to Ananthasriram's lines and dark and dominating instrumentation. Priyamani: How come every song has an English chorus inserted somewhere even if it is totally out of place? And each song sounds just like the other one. SP Balu and Saindhavi sing to Veturi's lyrics. The tune, lyrics and vocals are fine and it would be a sweet duet to listen to and seperate from the other songs if the instrumental wasn't the same as in the last three numbers. NBKAakasam: Okay this sounds a little better now. Vijay Yesudas and Kausalya render this number nicely to Vennelakanti's lines. It is more earthy and warm than the other songs which are heavily synthesized. It's not any less boring than the others though. Jhummandi: A Balayya movie is incomplete without this kind of a 'Pattuko Pattuchira' kind of song. This is a take on 'mama mama', a little bit of the tune and a line or two from the original rowdy item song. It has all those item-ish folk-based gulli-inspired do maar teen maar bits that even the front benchers yawn at now. Makers and musicians are stuck somewhere else, in thier own world away from the 'masses and classes'. And everyone in between.
