baoppurtunity Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 I am a contract to hire candidate. 6 months are up, time to convert the salary i agreed to was based on 40 hour week schedule. This project easily has 55 to 60 hours a week worth of work, on contract i got paid for every hour was great. In salaried perm position I would not be paid or get any comp time for the same. How do i convince the firm to keep me on contract. I have talked to the manager, they like my work and have assured me the pressure on work would be same atleast for another 18 or so months. How to approach this situation Quote

Stamping issues if you have any. Job stability. relocation expenses......... Quote
baoppurtunity Posted June 14, 2012 Author Report Posted June 14, 2012 GC holder, 2 weeks paid holidays do not justify the 500 hour extra work free of cost. I am local so no need for relocation Quote
baoppurtunity Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Just FYI they gave me perm position on an hourly basis, no base salary and no benefits, so just like a contract + the job security Quote
