nayakudu Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 The ‘Train Show’ of cine star Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja turned out to be a damp squib with hardly a few tens of people receiving him at Guntur, Tenali, Ponnur and Bapatla Railway stations on Monday. A battery of journalists, along with a host of Praja Rajyam Party candidates and workers thronged the Guntur railway station giving no impression of any special ‘political’ train passing this way and the platform was empty making it easier for the fans to go closer to the Third AC compartment of Ram Charan. The Guntur Lok Sabha Candidate Thota Chandrasekhar, Guntur East candidate Shaik Showkath, and some others came out from the compartment and were introduced to the people standing outside. Asserts claim Asserting his party’s claim that they had done social justice by allocating seats to all sections of the society, he asked people to vote for PRP by displaying the party election symbol ‘Rail Engine’. Press meet After a 10-minute show on the train, he along with the party candidates addressed a press conference on the platform and got going. The train chugged off to Ponnur where a motley crowd greeted him and a hundred of them at Tenali. Jai Chirutha and Jai Chiranjeeva slogans rent the air at all stations with party flags fluttering all over the railway station at Bapatla. Ram Charan said he had come to canvass for the candidates as his family members were busy campaigning elsewhere in the state. “I am doing my bit to promote the party that would take care of all sections of the society.” -The Hindu
