girishv Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 vankai ulli karam [b]ingredients:[/b] vankai, 2 medium size onions, red mirchi 1 to 1 and 1/2 red mirchi per vankai (say, 10 vankayalu unnayi ante 10 to 15 mirchi...depends on how spicy you eat), 1 spoon jeera, oil and salt [b]procedure:[/b] onions chop chesukuni, red mirchi chinni pieces ga thunchi...add salt and jeera...grind chesukovali then a paste ni vankai lo kurchali....same as masala vankai.... oil heat chesi vankayalu oil lo dump cheyakunda, place chesinattu pettali...lid pettesi oka 5 mins tharuvatha side change cheyali...malli lid place chesi inko 5 mins magganivali (similar to masala vankai)....then remaining paste vesi onions pachi vasana poye varaku fry chesukovali...(around 10 mins) that's it...correct ga chesthe 25-30 mins....ingredients kuda ekkuva undavu...goes really well with rice...

girishv Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 vankai allam karam [b]ingredients:[/b] vankai, green mirchi 1 to 1 and 1/2 green mirchi per vankai (say, 10 vankayalu unnayi ante 10 to 15 mirchi...depends on how spicy you eat), allam (exact ga ante 2inch by 2 inch...(enni grams o idea ledu), mustard, chana dal, coriander, oil and salt [b]procedure: [/b] green mirchi chinni pieces ga thunchi, allam chinna chinna pieces ga cut chesukuni, add salt...grind chesukovali vankayalu cut chesukuni pakkana pettukovali (NOTE: cut chesi salt water lo dump cheyali....lekapothe kandra vasthundi) then oil heat chesi popu vesukovali...just mustard and chana dal....then grind chesukunna paste ni oil lo heat cheyali 5-10 mins....cut chesukunna vankayalu vesi 5-10 mins maggapedithe chalu..(vankayalu chinna pieces laga cut chestham kabbati ekkuva sepu magga pettalsina avasaram ledu)...then lid thesesi inko 5 mins fry chesthe curry done....kavali ante coriander tho garnish chesukovachu....
