venkannadora Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 Hi, I have a question. 1. I came to US on L1-B Visa stamp in 2007 December. 2. I changed my L1-B Visa to H1 in year 2009 February. Currently working as full time employee in H1B Status. 3.I did my 10 + 2 intermediate + 3 yrs diploma in Electronics and communication + 3 yrs engineering degree( in my home country. No Masters degree in US or Canada. 4.I have overall 12+ years IT experience .(In USA, total 5 years experience L1-B Status 1+ years experience and H1-B 4 years experience ) 5. I don't have any H1-B stamping on my passport. Is there any issue to get the stamping in Canada. I heard some people are saying education in USA or Canada only go for the stamping. Is that true ? Your advice is appreciated Quote
Avatar300 Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 I to heard that incase your are not holding any MS in US , you may have to go back to India and get stamped from there only. Let's see what other's will post here. If u r having 5+ years experience in US get a full time quickly then you can get h1b stamped in india easily. Quote

PMREDDY19 Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 I think u may need to go to home country for L! to H1.. Never heard any case where people travelled to canada fo this visa transfer. anyhow check with the immigration attorney of your employer .. to make sure what additional documents if you plan to go to canada..
