Both his films, ‘ Kantri and Billa’ did not rewrite any history nor earned massive collections. However, he earned a good name that he could direct star heroes and hence, several producers paid him advances even before the launch of ‘Billa’ release. According to latest information, Victory Venkatesh reportedly gave a green signal to the director. A successful Bollywood film is under consideration for a remake and the film is to be remade by D Sureshbabu. Story discussions are in progress for the movie. It is worth mentioning here that Venkatesh is more cautious about the story of his forthcoming films and ensures some difference from his earlier films. His recent release ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ remained an average grosser. In this backdrop, he is planning to give a big hit this time. As part of this strategy, he agreed to play hero under the direction of hattrick director Sreenu Vaitla. As the project with this director is likely to be delayed, Meher Ramesh’s name came up for consideration. Meanwhile, Venkatesh is likely to play a key role in ‘Eenadu’ with Kamal Hassan in the lead. Venkatesh also has plans to do a film with Trivikram Srinivas, in case he could get a very good script, somewhere during next year.
