Gowtham (Gopichand) is a security guard at ATM centers, who always dream about becoming a rich guy by hook or crook. An incident changes his life and Gowtham gets to know that his grandfather (Suman) has left him some valuable diamonds. Gowtham decides to go to Pakistan in search of these diamonds without a second thought. On other hand Srinidhi (Taapsee Pannu) feels that the world is going to end in a couple of years and she firmly believes that only those people will be spared, who visit the most powerful temples. Gowtham comes to know that Srinidhi is planning to visit Hinglaj Devi Temple, he tricks her and finally lands in Pakistan. What happened to Gowtham and Srinidhi in Pakistan? Can Gowtham recover the diamonds left to him by his grandfather? What kind of obstacles will Gowtham face? To start with, Sahasam is not a typical and a routine Telugu entertainer. Director Chandrasekhar Yeleti will take the audience back into the 70's and 80's genre i.e. story about a treasure. There are some comedy episodes and lot of action sequences but these elements are not enough to label Sahasam as just another Telugu movie. One can clearly watch the brilliant filmmaking of Chandra Sekhar yeleti in Sahasam. Movie starts in Pakistan where the local don Sultan (Shakti Kapoor) eyes on the treasure hidden by the king of Kanishka. All the visuals of Pakistan were shot in the localities of Ladakh and the director took every care in this department. Pre interval episode was well shot and raises the expectation on the film.[/size][/font][/color][color=#333333][font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif][size=3]

Second half begins with Buzkashi between Gopichand and goons, where our hero saves Taapsee from the baddies. For the people who like adventurous movies, Sahasam will be the perfect film to watch but others might find that some commercial elements are missing. Barring some, most of the visual effects are superb and director Chandrasekhar Yeleti made a right choice by not placing too many songs in this adventurous thriller.[/size][/font][/color][color=#333333][font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif][size=3]

Music and Background Score by Sri are good. Cinematography by Shamdat is of top notch. Chandrasekhar Yeleti's screenplay is one of the major highlight for the film and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is up to the mark. Special appreciation to art director Ramakrishna for his wonderful sets. Production values of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Creations are grand.[/size][/font][/color][color=#333333][font=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif][size=3]

Gopichand has once again delivered a stellar performance as a macho hero. Compared to his earlier movies, the amount of violence is less in this movie. Taapsee looked very glamorous and she has done good job in the limited role that she was offered. Shakti Kapoor was good as baddie and Ali as Qayamat Raju was ok.
