Acharya nagarjuna was most renowed buddhist teacher. He converted all the princess of the elite empires in to budhism. However most kings didnt convert.

Interesting fact is acahrya nagarjuna wife is hindu. She worshipped hindu gods in her seperate room while nagarjuna preached budhism in living room..
