Although RSS had split from the Hindu MahaSabha by then, it wasn't even a political competitor to HMS. Congress won handsomely.

Muslim league lost too.. but remember how things changed 5yrs later. Hindus never had the tenacity to organise themselves politically..

kaani, it is important to fight for your share of resources. to identify your rival(as a group), strategise. nothing wrong.

religion is not some god sent gift that we shouldn't talk about to avoid hurting other's manobhavalu. As long as its used as political leverage, it should be countered, sometimes even with violence when necessary.

So I think this poem is a bit daft. because it trivializes the role of religion in current politics.
