It is said that he will be doing a period drama on a south Indian prince and warrior which will also be a big budget film. And for this he has chosen Ram Charan to play the main role. If everything goes as per plans, the film will go on to sets late 2014. Though Ram Charan could not make any impact with his Hindi debut film ‘Zanjeer’, he has gotten an offer for a second film which will be a remake of ‘Vettai’ and will be produced by Karan Johar.

Bollywood film maker Karan Johar is set to produce this film on Dharma Productions banner and a new comer will wield the mega phone. Recently, Charan hold talks with Karan and immediately the deal has been finalized. The movie is going to be the adaption of Amish Tripathi's most celebrated first novel on Shiva's trilogy 'Immortals of Meluha'. The book is all about the story of Shiva, a Tibetan refugee who saves the inhabitants of Meluha from wars. The shooting of ‘Immortals of Meluha’ would commence in the second half of this year and the film is expected to hit the screens for summer, 2014. Sources say Karan Johan has been looking for a right actor, who looks dynamic, have good acting abilities and raw intensity in his eyes and finally, he has zeroed in on Charan. Charan will be seen as Lord Shiva in this film and it would be interesting to see who would be playing Parvathi in this magnum opus.
