Severance Pay Question.........

Hi friends......

 

I was laid off and offered job in different location but not offered any severance pay. I got another job and joined. Is that a law to offer severance pay ? Because na H1 transfer ayinappudu previous employer severance pay offer cheyaledhu ani i129 petition accept chesi extenstion of stay deny chesadu uscis vadu.......so i had to go all the way back to india to attend visa interview and came back. does anybody have any idea about it ?

lay off cheste severance pay sure ga ivvali...... did they fire you or lay you off?
