He sold all the remaining toys by increasing the price by Rs.2 and made a profit of Rs.80.What is the no.of initial toys and the initial cost of toys? also out of 45 toys, 5 were damaged, means 40 toys were left @ 20 each (to compensate for lost toys price he divided the price of lost toys (rs100 equally to 40 toys which gives 22.5 price each and then sold for rs 2 profit, which makes up for 980 @ 80 rs profit))
Krish Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 # of initial toys 45, @20 each elago kooda chepte....gretat!!
suthivelu Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 # of initial toys 45, @20 each Wrong...75 @12 each
gabbarsingh1 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 elago kooda chepte....gretat!! 2 equations man... X*Y= 900 (X-5)(Y+2)=980 Solve for x and y
gabbarsingh1 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 also out of 45 toys, 5 were damaged, means 40 toys were left @ 20 each (to compensate for lost toys price he divided the price of lost toys (rs100 equally to 40 toys which gives 22.5 price each and then sold for rs 2 profit, which makes up for 980 @ 80 rs profit)) adi nee assumption man... question lo ala ivvale kada..
bio Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 elago kooda chepte....gretat!! ok my calculations assumption 1, he purchased 45 toys @ 20 each = rs 900 out of 45 toys 5 got damaged, which was given meaning 40 toys were left for sale he made rs 980 by selling 40 toys as per assumption 1 900/40 = rs 22.5 for each toy (here rs 2.5 was added to each of the 40 toys to compensate the loss for 5 toys which is rs 100) rs 2 was added on each toy in order to make that profit of rs 80 so each toy was sold @ 24.5 * 40 = 980. I believe my logic z right here..confirmations please but initial # of toys 45 @ 20rs each idi final answer
