Krish Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 ala relate cheyyakapothe how man, we have to go according to the statements given in the question kada, there could be other possibilites as well, but question ki relate chese kada answer cheppali, wat say? yeah paina edit chesa choodu...
Krish Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 that profit u r looking is concluded as a profit from the total cost of 75...which is 900 now u want to cross check the profit 80 by raising the price by 2 for the 70 units so as u said 70 * 2 = 140.... but not 80 u can only do this comparison when the number of toys were same in both cases.... so as per ur theory...we have profit 140 here not 80... in the first batch...we have to consider the cost of 5 damaged ones as well....which is 5 *12 = 60 so to make any profit we need to get this money back... so 140- 60 = 80....I hope u got it ...:(
bio Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 I see where u r coming from....aa profit comparison... includes the cost of those 5 damaged as well...so you can not use that figure for 70... so 70 * 12 = 840, 75*12 = 900, 70* 14 = 980 so u cant actually relate them...since it includes the cost of 5 so 5 * 12 = 60 neeku 70* 2 = 140 kada...ee 5 price tesei... 140 - 60 = 80... :) ok meeru cheppina answer ni reverse strategy lo workout cheddam . initial # of toys = 75 @ 12 each = 900 (this is right) now 5 toys gone = 70 toys left, so per toy price should also compensate for damaged toys therefore 900/70 = 12.8571 per toy vostondi (lets assume this is right) next rs 2 per toy increase chesadu so now the price of the toy will be 12.8571+2 = 14.8571 now price of 70 toys with 14.8571*70 = 1040 vostondi kada??
