Govt wont do man ? Intercaste is good in upper castes now ... did the govt made any changes for that ? It is not in govt hands to change people's mind. What govt can do is create an environment for openness. what the sh!t are you talking, govt should write love letters between people ?

I said social barriers should be removed. I didn't say govt should remove it. Govt can't. only society can. its been 65yrs since independence.. and not much change in number of intercaste marriages. especially among dalits and upper castes. Govt is forced to use other ways to bring parity in society. like reservation.
