Praja Rajyam Party general secretary Allu Aravind’s emergency dinner meeting with former Telugu Desam leaders in the party at his residence on Saturday raised many eyebrows.

Aravind invited all the leaders who had defected from the TDP to the dinner meeting. Those who attended included Kotagiri Vidyadhar Rao, Kothapalli Subbarayudu, T Devender Goud, Tammineni Sitaram, C Ramachandraiah, Kala Venkat Rao etc. The dinner-meeting is a consequence to the reports that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is personally calling up the ex-party leaders and inviting them back into the TDP.

In the meeting, Aravind is learnt to have convinced them not to succumb to any pressures from Naidu. “I have not got any call from Naidu, but one should not be surprised if Naidu made any such attempt,” Sitaram told media persons later. It is, however, not known how many of them had assured Aravind that they would remain with the PRP.
