F1 Rejected Long Back, H1B Approved.how To Fill Ds160 Form

I am in india, got my h1b visa approved and yet to attend my visa interview.
My F1 visa got rejected in 2008. Do i need to mention this in DS160 form?Will this effect H1b now? Please advise.

Do i need to have a job with the petitoned employer in India?

Yes. I Think ther's Some Column in DS Forms Which Asks for Your Previuos VISA Rejects. Dhaani Valla Pedda Impact Em Undadhu Ani Anukuntunna Bhayya....

No impact. Just indicate Visa date and consulate it was rejected. It should not impact h1 approval. I was in the same situation. Proceed I say.

Yes DS160 will ask you for visa rejections in Travel Information Section

 

Exact wording as follows,

Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, been
refused admission to the United States, or
withdrawn your application for admission at the
point of entry?

 

Say Yes

 

Later interviewer will ask you about it say the real reason why did you got rejected

You will be fine dude dont worry.:)

Don't Worry. Just mention the reason for Your Previous Visa rejection.

 

It will not affect your H1. Make sure you carry alll required docs for your H1 Visa.
