Lagadapati Raja Gopal, Lagadapati Sridhar and Lagadapati Madhu are the three brothers who have turned big icons in political, movie and industrial sectors respectively. The hot grapevine is that this family is purchasing NTV, the popular news channel from AP. It is said that NTV is burning out an expenditure of Rs 3 Cr per month on salaries and other maintenances. And the financial muscle to carry that weight is not sufficient for NTV heads.

Hence they are looking to sell the channel and news says that Lagadapatis are coming forward to bail out. Sources say that Lagadapatis are worth Rs 16000 Cr (Sixteen thousand Crore) collectively and there would be just 30 percent fall in their stakes due to recessions and not more than that.

So, Lagadapati family can be the only best rescuer for NTV at this moment.

On the other hand the news is that Gali Janardana Reddy, another ‘kubera’ of AP is negotiating to purchase TV5 another channel that needs a financial backbone to survive.

That way along with Sakshi, we may expect that NTV and TV5 also sound Congress Mantra.
