Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today rolled out the red carpet to industrialists in Bangalore. He promised to provide all clearances to investors within 30 days through a single window agency.

“The government of the new Andhra Pradesh will provide all clearances within 30 days from the date of allotment of land. If anyone does not get other clearances within 30 days, it means the approvals are deemed to be given,” Naidu told captains of industry at a roadshow organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

After taking charge as the first chief minister of the bifurcated Andhra Pradesh five months ago, Naidu held his first roadshow in Bangalore to attract investments. He will go to Singapore and Japan later this month and to other states in the country subsequently.

He said, the government is creating a huge land bank at various places in the state and allot land to industries on priority. The incentives offered to mega investment proposals can be negotiated across the table, he said.

“We approved the proposal from\ Hero Motors across the table. We will go on a case-by-case basis and offer incentives to investors,” Naidu said.

He said, the government will set up five grids such as water, power, road, gas and optic fibre network to promote industries in the state. “Our aim is to make the new Andhra Pradesh a knowledge state with all basic amenities like water, power, roads and education to all,” he said.

Naidu also unveiled a food processing policy for the state on the occasion. Andhra Pradesh is also working on bringing out a policy for every sector, he said adding, some are ready and many others are being prepared, he said.

The focus areas will be power, water, electronics, IT and e-governance, Naidu added.

He, however, said the government is not trying to compete with any other state, but trying to develop the new state as an industry-friendly state with focus on all sectors. “We are only trying to promote our state as a sunrise state and explain what we can offer to the industries,” he said.

The state government will soon unveil a new industrial policy, he added.

Naidu said the new capital will be developed at Vijayawada on a fast track basis with all amenities and meet international standards.
