Are There Any Grammar Nazis Here?

I'm not very familiar with english grammar.

I just imitate people who I've read or heard.

and I am very picky about who I read. so I'll mostly get my sentences right, until I turn senile.

I admit I can be pretty pathetic with punctuation.

Isn't that how we all learn? By imitation. Imitation by itself is defined as a way of learning. Or so I feel.

Agreed. Even I use grammatically erroneous language when I post in this forum, of course with the exception of this thread. After all, this a forum made for and by telugu people.

Since the topic is about grammar, I am forced to say that there are so many mistakes in your above reply itself (in terms of punctuation, caps, sentence formation etc...).

So, you need not be nitpicky on how others communicate, as long as it doesn't change the meaning or purpose of communication.

I don't think he was picky.

anyway, its tedious to point out grammar errors in a telugu forum.

I am not saying he is. I was just giving an advise, siting his own reply as an example, that mistakes do happen inadvertently.

Anyway its a waste of time to concentrate on English.

you are bound to get better when you keep using it.

Best to let it happen naturally, and not be so conscious.

Please come and share how you feel when you see posts where the person can't seem to differentiate between their, there etc.,

As long as you don't think in English, you'll never write well. Even if you are perfect with grammar.
